Slaves in White Collars

Imprisoned by our own Creation

Hello World.

A friend of mine encouraged me to write a post on "Freedom" and because it is such a huge topic i simply couldn't resist... after a weeks worth of contemplation I'm finally ready to put my thoughts to paper...well, screen.

This post on freedom will be a generalized idea on a global scale, rather than a detailed fact/conspiracy rant at one country.
Some of it might be offensive to some people, and it might not be what you want to hear, but it has to be said.

Enjoy!

Advertisement has us chasing cars and clothes... working jobs we hate so we can buy shit we don't need.
We're the middle children of history man... no purpose or place, we got no great war, no great depression, our great war is a spiritual war, our great depression is our lives...
Couldn't think of any better way to say this myself... It's true, we have no war... we have no major crisis...
As i mentioned before in the two part post The Ascension and the Fall of Music our generation has nothing to fight for, don't get me wrong, it's a great thing that such horrors aren't around anymore...

But now all we do is simply live. We drive to work trying to make money in our simple day to day jobs... come home, sit down watch TV, play some video games, go out at night get wasted, party, go home and repeat... everything has become a mindless routine...

So how did we come to terms with this awful condition?

We have become consumers.

Surrounded in a world stained by advertisement, and it's constantly evolving merchandise such as vehicles, fashion, and technology.
Humanity couldn't help but tumble right into its cold, material clasp, and to never bother finding its way back.

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to accept what is true.
- Soren Kierkegaard

Prolonged exposure to this careless living has bred a generation of extremely ignorant individuals...

By careless living I don't mean that we just sit at home and do absolutely nothing while letting our time go to waste...
I mean that we are so consumed in our own little image of reality that we simply don't see the big picture... we don't see that everything we say, everything we eat, drink, wear, buy, and so forth... perpetuates the undesirable way of life we are now living.

We blindly follow the media, we throw money away for the "hottest" trends, we imitate our celebrities...

We became slaves of the system. Instead of working towards making a change in this world, we now live to feed our innermost "wants". We work jobs we hate, to buy shit we don't need, with the illusion of freedom in mind we think that this duvet of "stuff" will complete us as a person, and will create a more sensual existence.

We are nothing but angry dogs that get a steak thrown to them as a distraction for what the people in power are truly intending to do.

The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theatre.

Heaven & Hell: They got it All Wrong!

The Eternal Tomb Within Us

If the doors of perception were cleansed, then everything would appear as it is, Infinite.
- William Blake

Hello World.

I really couldn't resist making a post stating my say on this compelling and very controversial subject!

After reading the Alchemical texts of William Blake titled "The Marriage of Heaven & Hell" i couldn't help but forming my own opinion about heaven and hell based on some of the insight Blake has offered.
Now to clear things up a little, I myself am an atheist and I refine my own views on some of the great mysteries of life.

* I apologize now if i offend some of your views but to me some sort of logic comes before belief, & don't worry not all posts will be bashing religions, so if you don't like this one please stick around for others *

As always i welcome you to open your mind and join me on this particular subject!

I'm sure in today's day and age, every one of us has heard about the Christian views on heaven & hell...
You know... the old:

If you sin you'll go to hell where you will be subjected to eternal torment. Days on end agonized by the very devil himself, skinning your burning flesh piece by piece until nothing but mere bone remains, only to find yourself re-constructed again and repeatedly undergoing the process over... and over... and over... and over again for eternity. And frankly i don't think the devil rests on the weekly Sabbath.
But if you worship god, go to church, and follow the ten commandments, then upon death god shall grant you the access to heaven, where you will rejoice with all your previously deceased family members and friends (well at least with the ones who made it there as far as i understand...) living blissfully for eternity in paradise.

Well I'll be damned... what straight-forward world to live in if the consequences truly were "pain and torture" for eternity...Although this raises a obvious question... what kind of cruel god would let this happen?

But that's maybe for another post. Well my theory on this subject is in fact not too far of the idea which our beloved friends in Christianity had to offer!

I believe that our after-life is nothing but a dream.
Exactly like the ones we have each time we sleep... the difference is that we'll never wake up.

The people who have heard of Out of Body Experiences and Lucid Dreaming, are quite aware of what the human mind is capable of, and might even argue that those states enable our soul to leave the body... (I will get more in-depth with those subjects in the next up coming posts)

So in the afterlife, just like in our dreams, we reflect upon the experiences we have gathered over the "awake time" and generate them into our presence in the "dream world" (You'll see why I'm pointing out Dream World in the following posts to come! ).

To put it simply;
If we live like decent and respectable people, we create a positive mindset which has positive thoughts and emotions, which in-turn creates a beautiful and nice "Dream World" surrounding. (Heaven?)

But if we behave like violent, murderous, thieves then our mind and soul will be tainted by negative emotions and dark thoughts... creating a horrific after-life for ourselves. (Hell?)

By the angle's flaming sword ... the whole creation will be consumed and appear infinite and holy whereas it now appears finite & corrupt.
This will come to pass by an improvement of sensual enjoyment.
But first the notion that man has a body distinct from his soul is to be expunged
this shall i do by printing in the infernal method,
by corrosives which in hell are salutary and medicinal
melting surfaces away and displaying the infinite which was hid.
- William Blake (Edited - Shortened & Summarized)

Hell-fire cleanses the soul of its humane impurities, it burns away all the dark and ugly remains which your human life has left on your soul so that you can move on into eternal peace... Maybe Christianity hasn't got the wrong idea, just seems like they have simply blown things a little out of proportion (once again...)

At the end of the day no matter how much we argue about this subject... what will happen will happen... the beauty of these posts is that it gives people hope, and widens their view on life... or I'd like to think so anyway.

Hope you enjoyed this post! stay tuned for more! :)

Part 1: The Ascension & The Fall of Music

Ascension

 The making of Music history

Hello World.

I guess you could say that this could be quite a controversial subject depending on your taste & views on music...
But I rather ask of you to open your mind to my opinion, and view it as more of a generalized conclusion on our society and the musical entertainment it provides for us. Again I'll make this into two parts! enjoy :)

Music doesn't lie. If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music.
 - Jimi Hendrix

Stale... computerized, lazy & senseless... This music of "Today" has conquered and influenced countless hearts of our teen population... and with that i don't mean in a good way.
Before you crucify me for this statement thinking that not all music is that bad and my opinion displays a very stubborn view towards our beloved artists, please read on to the end and you will understand :)

So how did we get to this point? I guess we should start from the beginning.

Let's take a trip back to the years which i like to refer to as "The Golden Ages of Music"

These were the times of oppression, pain, suffering and violence among all kinds of people, whether it was the African Americans living in the ghetto, getting beaten down by cops, and shot in their own neighbourhoods for some senseless feud among their own people,

To the Hippies trying to end war and make peace,

And of course to your average kid that was simply seeking a way out of his parent's dictatorship, looking for his own way of life, a way to rebel and show society that he is his own man. and no one can take that away from him.

Those were the times around the 1960's to late 1980's ... That was when music history was made.

All of this suffering made by our society... for our society has encouraged movement, it created individuals which wanted to see a change. And so emerged some of the greatest musicians in our history... a few of them which you might recognize:

Bob Marley
Queen

Biggie & Tupac
KISS
Pink Floyd

Led Zeppelin

N.W.A

Michael Jackson

ACDC

The Beatles
The WuTang Clan

The Rat Pack
Peter Lawford | Dean Martin | Sammy Davis, Jr. | Frank Sinatra

Through the pure and mesmerizing sound of the instrumentals which gloriously intertwined with the raw voice of the performer(s), these artists created hope for our society.

Influenced by their music, people stood tall and realized that this oppression, violence, and pain is not the end, it opened their mind and gave them hope and the fighting spirit to reach for the better tomorrow. Music had set them free.

In one of his articles, Allen Navarro said:
Music, It has been the vessel used to express emotions when words do not seem to be enough.
And that is precisely what they did.

Music lead a revolution, and won. It was at its peak... and as we all know, once something is at the very top the only way that's left is down.

Thank you for reading and i do encourage you to move onto Part 2 !

Part 2: The Ascension & The Fall of Music

Fall

The War is over. They won.

Hello World.
Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything. - Plato
I hope you all keep this beautiful quote in mind throughout this particular post and won't hesitate to have a little think about ...
what would the great philosophers and musicians from the earlier years think of our generation when exposed to the atrocious sound which in these days passes as "music".

Right now you might think that music has simply lost its touch in quality, and isn't causing any serious damage to our youth...

Well here is a small taste of the future to come.

To be honest, I don't blame the artists of today for their terrible creations... The revolution of music is over, they won. There is no motivation anymore, there are no major causes to fight for... the only few remaining artists which are trying to make a change to our society by creating music that has meaning are unappreciated and ignored.

Our society has been conditioned into catchy tunes and pretty faces... The only way to grab our attention now is through a computerized low based beat, showing off how much shiny stuff you own and how many semi-naked women you can get to dance erotically on music videos....

I do realize that every generation has their own way to rebel, their own movement, their own music to influence them throughout their journey...

But is it really necessary for the music of our generation to be
so
lazy...
repetitive...
 senseless...
 stupefying...
computerized
&
unnatural...?

Is it really necessary for the artists of our generation which play such a huge influence to our youth, to dress and act like asinine primates?
to use profane and violent lyrics?
to display such a gruesome choice in fashion?...

*Fun Fact: Nicki Minaj's infantilizing, stupefying, self-degrading song "Starships" took 5 people to write.. where the song "Stairway To Heaven" by Led Zeppelin, one of the greatest rock songs in the history of music took 2...*

Now having all of this said... it's going to be quite interesting to see where our awfully strange and horrifying pop culture will take us... But hey, as long as our good old songs remain available to us, how bad can it get.. right?

Here's a little TEDtalks video that some of you might enjoy, i guarantee you that after you watch this video, you WILL like classical music :) no doubt about it.

Thank you for reading :) stay tuned for more!

The Killer Drug!... Marijuana?

Doesn't the idea of making nature against the law seem to you a bit... unnatural? - Bill Hicks

Hello World.

I've been discussing this topic with a vast variety of people for quite a while, and to me it seems nothing but appropriate to share my opinion and my knowledge on this subject, in this blog. As you might have already guessed i'd like to discuss Marijuana.

Yes you heard me right! The Devil's Plant itself!
The reason i'm posting about Marijuana is because i find it completely stupid of how many people blindly label marijuana as a "Dangerous Drug" and place it in the "Big NO NO" section right there with Cocaine, Speed, MDMA, and Heroin... and then turn around and smoke a cigarette or drink alcohol... Alright well..

I base this post of all the information I've gathered and believe so please have a read and enjoy :)

Okay first of all lets get rid of the most basic assumptions of why Marijuana is Illegal...
Lets have a think about it...

It has been recorded that 21,600 individuals die from alcohol (legal) abuse per year... not to mention all the people who die through car crashes and all the alcoholics which turn extremely violent etc etc...

Ignorant Person: "Alright.. well that doesn't seem too bad right?..."

Now lets jump to Cigarettes! (legal) It has been recorded that 5.4 million people die per year because of tobacco...

*Fun Fact: Every 6.5 seconds a current or a former smoker dies according to the World Health Organization*

Ignorant Person: "That is quite impressive if you ask me... such a small thing yet so extremely lethal..."

Well lets move on to the Substance of the hour... Marijuana! (illegal) sadly i must disappoint you all... i have only found 26 deaths with marijuana as an underlying drug which were in the USA between 1999 and 2007... so 26 deaths over 8 years... In a population of 2,615,523,905 people.

...

Ignorant Person: "Alright well maybe Marijuana might not be so lethal after all... but it does cause Brain damage and schizophrenia, and paranoia, and anxiety and so on... !!! that's why it must stay illegal!!!"

Well okay lets have a little showdown.

Health Damage through Cigarettes (Legal): Lung Cancer, Emphysema, Bronchial Diseases, Heart Problems and much much more.

Health Damage through Alcohol (Legal): Through alcohol abuse it can increase risk of Arthritis, cancer in the liver, pancreas, rectum, breast, mouth, pharynx, larynx, and esophagus, Causes physical and behavioral abnormalities, high risk of heart disease, risk of kidney failure, can cause depression, anxiety, & insomnia & much more...

Health Damage through Marijuana (Illegal): Through marijuana abuse it can increase risk of bronchitis, schizophrenia (in vulnerable individuals), anxiety, paranoia, and depression.

Health Benefits of Cigarettes (Legal): ...

Health Benefits of Alcohol (Legal): Through moderate use it can reduce risk of Heart diseases, Lower risk of Gallstones, Possibly reduce risk of diabetes.

Health Benefits of Marijuana (Illegal): Through moderate use Treatment to Nausea, Reduction of pressure in the eyes, Relief of pain, Protection of Nerves through damage cause by sclerosis, Prevents formation of harmful plaque in the brain.

Ignorant Person: "Well okay okay but the risk still remains! abusing marijuana can still cause very harmful side-effects! ..."

Yes. Abusing Marijuana does cause harmful side-effects... Just like abusing junk food can cause obesity, or abusing alcohol can cause kidney failure, or abusing a fork or a knife can cause it to end up in your eye or in any other uncomfortable place...
Fact is, people can and will abuse anything, at the end it is their choice whether or not they choose to. It does not mean we should ban anything and everything which can be abused to cause harmful results.

Ignorant Person: "Alright Alright i get it, but Marijuana is still addictive! and because it is addictive we should have it banned and let it remain illegal!"

The Strange thing about marijuana is that it has no "Addictive" substance inside of it, while Cigarettes have Nicotine that causes the physical addiction, Marijuana like Alcohol does not have a physically addictive
substance inside, just like in alcohol it is the happy and relaxed feeling people get addicted to. The reason Marijuana got labeled as addictive and as a "gateway drug" was because when Harry J. Aslinger tried to ban Marijuana he added in his testimony that it could lead to Opium use. (Opium is a  latex obtained from the opium poppy which contains 12% morphine which is used to produce heroin)

*Fun Fact: 10% of Cigarette smokers are not addicted to nicotine, where 98% of Marijuana smokers are not addicted to Marijuana"

Ignorant Person: "Well if Marijuana is safer than Alcohol, and safer than cigarettes... why is it illegal, and the other stuff is legal?!"

Because unlike the other products, Cannabis is the Billion Dollar Herb.
The uses for it are countless.
Natural Pain killer
Natural Oil for cars, ( through growing marijuana the plants would make up for all the carbon exhaustion cars cause & turn it back into oxygen )
Hemp is also an alternative Fiber for making stronger and longer lasting Paper and Clothes (which in turn would save countless of trees from deforestation),
and so on...
Dave Seber said: "we've got 10 to 20 years, tops, before the entire ecosystem, as we know it, will collapse because of what they are doing in these forests."..."environmental threat to forests will worsen if no alternate fiber to wood is found"...
While i could go on and on, and in more detail of why Marijuana is illegal and why the reasons for it being illegal are completely idiotic i should probably cut this post short :( , but i will leave you with this:

Ignorant Person: ALRIGHT you got me. but i tell you this! If you use Marijuana your life will spiral downwards!, and you will become a worthless good-for-nothing pot-smoker! and you will never accomplish anything in life!

So here i will leave you with a few worthless good-for-nothing
stoners that never accomplished anything in life because they smoked Marijuana :) Thanks for Reading!
